Jhansi - overview
Jhansi is the main city that is on tourist map since British Time..
Jhansi is situated in Bundelkhand egion of Uttar Pradesh State in North India.Jhansi has rocky terrain and it has many dams and rivers nearby.
I lived here for 13 years from 1987 to 2000.
I have the memories from my student days when we go to K.V. School on Cycle and then to College & Then University .
The Roads are Curvy all the time (never straight) and Up and Down also because of Hillocks and rocky area.It becomes lush green in Rainy season ,when it is all green and beautiful .
summers are very hot and for western travelers it will be like baking hot..HaHa...
But I love this place as it is with very laidback life and surrounding villages are still primitive and close to nature..
Jhansi is the among the main Revolutionary states where Rai Laxmi Bai laid down her life bravely to Free her state from Britishers in 1857 Revolt.
